Herman van der Weerd, a proven entrepreneur in the IT industry, has over 20 years experience in the field of developing innovative enterprise software. He has also spent most of his professional life working with cable manufacturers.

Herman began his management career in 1988 at Baan Company, where he oversaw the development and implementation of ERP software at a Dutch cable manufacturer. In 1993 he was founder and co-owner of Proloq, a company that developed a standard Industry Solution for the cable industry based on Baan technology. This solution was delivered to many cable manufacturers across the globe.

After Proloq was acquired by Baan Company, Herman joined Cordys as a board member where he was instrumental in growing the global Customer Services business.

In 2005 he showed his entrepreneurial spirit again and participated in a management buyout. He was co-founder of To-Increase, an ISV and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner which focused on Microsoft Dynamics Industry Solutions.
